Onno Petersen cinematography and postproduction

Film may be the best medium to use, sometimes digital can be ideal. It all depends on what the filmmaker has in mind.

A crucial and also very enjoyable part of my work as cameraman, is the careful interpretation of an assignment. I will listen to the filmmaker or artist’s wishes, will come up with possible methods, and can also provide examples. In this way we will arrive at a well informed choice, together.

I own a super-16 Aaton camera. I also have several 8 mm cameras if that will be the best fit for the job.
35mm is expensive but fantastic. There are several different 16 mm Bolex and Beaulieu camera's with corresponding lenses and a Krasnogorsk in my collection too. An ARRI 16M, plus a handcranked 35mm Russian Konvas with expired film that I can develop in my own darkroom.
